This could have turned out much worse. I'm so thankful that Brynn was found and it didn't even take too long! Even though she's 2 I think she understood that what she did was scary for her and Mommy. The Wal-Mart employees were wonderful and I really applaud their training in knowing what to do so quickly. Thank you!
Corban stayed over at Grandma Jensen's for a couple of days and Brynn and I went to Wal-Mart to have lunch with Brian. While we were waiting we went to the toy section and Brynn found a ride-on car that she really liked. At 1:08 I made her get off and we headed over to Subway. She ran a little ways ahead of me but I could see her and I thought I could catch up. She got quite a ways ahead of me and then turned a corner into the clothes section. I hurried but by the time I got there she had disappeared! I couldn't find her anywhere. They called a Code Adam which basically shuts down the store and within a couple of minutes they found her back on that stupid toy! She was a little scared though and I was hysterical! When we finally got over to Subway I looked at the time again and it was 1:22. The absolute worst 14 minutes of my life! It was AWFUL! I'm so glad she was found. When I saw her again I didn't know what I wanted to do first--shake her or hug her. It was a terrible time.
Before I became a mother, I couldn't imagine losing a child. I was going to pay attention to my children and no one could get lost! It just wouldn't happen to me. Well, it happened and it happened so fast! Just unbelievable!

Oh Charloe, I'm so sorry! What a miserable experience for you. I hope she realized how awful it was and will try not to do it again. I've been around her...she's FAST! Maybe she will get to sport that awesome "backpack" more often? You know, then one with the leash? I wish I had one of those! Glad you found her, but sorry you had to enjoy such a fun time in Wal-Mart.
So glad Brynn was found safe!! I lost Austin once when he was about 2- at the Cottonwood Mall in SLC. He was lost for almost 45 minutes. Finally this teen-age couple came down the stairs with him. He had gone up to the second leve!!! I remember feeling like I was about to pass out. Tunnel vision adn everything. So happy things turned out well for you!
Three months and no post? Time to fill us in! Love you!
June? JUNE? Isn't it time to post some pictures of your cuties?
