Ch—ch—ch—changes….

The fall is a busy time for most families.  We are no exception this year!

Between school starting, new dance classes and a baby turning 1, we have been busy!  It’s a good kind of busy, though.  It’s been kind of nice to have something official to do almost every day.  I’m the type of person who could easily stay home and never venture anywhere.  I think part of that is that I’m lazy about make-up and hair and stuff like that—but I’m too embarrassed to go out in public without hair done and make-up on!  It’s a quandary I tell you!  Most days during the summer, I do the necessary things to make myself socially acceptable.  Truthfully, though—if we don’t have any firm plans, I don’t always get ready for the day.

School, dance, and soccer changes all my choices in such matters.  Admittedly, it’s been nice to ease into our “school” schedule.  Up at 6:30, get Corban ready for school, get Corban out the door.  I hop in the shower quickly before Nora wakes up for the day.  Real clothes, make-up and hair done!  I feel so much better on a schedule.  I get a lot more done!

Here are some pictures of what the kids have been up to this fall!

Corban on the first day of 2nd grade!  He was excited, can’t you tell?

My baby officially turned 1!  She’s a wonderful baby and it’s hard to believe she’s 1.   Probably the best thing of all—in the past few days she has been only getting up once in the night to eat!  Hallelujah!  Seriously.  (LOL at Parker’s face!)

Brynn started her second year of dance class!  She was so excited about it!  I’ve been told she is a “natural” dancer.  Not sure where she got that talent from—Brian and I are both pretty lurpy!

And finally, Brynn’s first day of preschool!  Every morning we count down the minutes until she can walk to school.  How blessed are we to have a neighbor who does a preschool in her home?  Blessed for sure!

And we’ve also been cheering for Corban as he plays soccer, but apparently I don’t have any photographic evidence of this!

T'liese swears by that whole makeup and hair thing. Are you saying there might be something to it? Your kids are so cute, and it's a treat to see pictures of them. Keep up the good blog work!
